Dead Birds on the Beach

On tonight’s program, the subject will be dead birds on the beach as we talk with Dr. Julia Parrish, Professor of Ocean Fishery Sciences, College of the Environment, University of Washington.  She is the Executive Director of COASST, the Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team, and recently conducted orientation and training workshops for survey teams along the Mendocino coast.  Dr. Parrish will talk about this relatively new citizen-science project, its purpose and methodology, what they are finding, and what the team hopes to accomplish.
