Greg Giusti on Coastal Pine Forest ecology

Gregory Giusti, Director of the UC Cooperative Extension for Lake & Mendocino Counties and Advisor on Forest and Wildland Ecology, joined us to talk about the Coastal Pine forest ecology.  This is a litte-studied ecosystem that is collapsing as a result of land-use changes.  Listen to the complete program here, to discover new words (“serotinous”) and learn why you shouldn’t mow the grass!
